Our sweet boy, Ruger was a runner. He loved his freedom or maybe his goal was to get a car ride. The only way to catch him was to drive up close to him and open the back hatch and he would jump right in. One day we were driving home, on our street about three houses from ours and I told my kids, “He won’t jump out.” I rolled the window down past the usual crack for his snout. All of the sudden, my daughter starts laughing so hard she could hardly breathe. “What’s so funny?” I look in my side mirror to see Ruger running the opposite direction. He was a character and he brought such joy to our life for 11 years. We were honored he chose us for his family for his time here and we miss him terribly, but we know he is running free and bringing others joy. We love you, handsome boy! 2/22/24
